Every year there is a different theme for the extravaganza. This year is 'Christmas Around the World'.
This is where the theme is all in the eye of the beholder. Whatever the theme means to you is where you start to build your own creation.
What are the Rules? Bring 12 packages of wonderfully displayed confections/gifts which are displayed in such a way as to bring delight to fellow bakers/artists.
What is in a package? Anything you have made put together or created. Cookies, candy, ornaments, liquors, jams, bath oils, cakes, note cards, pillows. Remember get creative and have fun!
How does this event work? Once you register you will receive a number. All of the day’s events coincide with the number you have. We exchange numerically in 12 rounds, one item per round. Yes, you can share but you alternate with your partner.
Prizes and Awards Yes, there are awards! Each person attending the event casts votes in different categories.
What to bring 12 packages/items to exchange and an extra dozen to be sampled. The extra dozen will be taste tested by the participants so they can vote. The samples for taste testing are the only things that can be presented on a paper plate.
IMPORTANT No paper plates or paper bags can be used for the presentation. This is important as everyone goes to the time and the effort to be creative. If you would like to come and enjoy the festivities, without doing the exchange, you are more than welcome. You will fully participate in all activities except the exchange itself. The cost is $70.00 for the luncheon festivities.
Promote your business for $50. and a $50 door prize Your business name will be displayed at the event, you can put advertisements or samples in the goodie bags that go home with every person in attendance. I will also list your business on my web site for a year, and promote you and your business on my site.
