The Awards
Best Presentation It is the big award. This is voted on by the individual presentation not the display. This is based on how it looks and how you present your goodie or whatever in the packaging. It is basically on the item itself. It should carry the theme of the extravaganza event. Again, no paper plates or elaborate displays this is again based on the individual item. Unfortunately we do not have the room for the elaborate displays.
Best Cookie This year we are making it a little more difficult as the best cookie should represent the holidays, be good tasting, looks good and carries the holiday feel. The cookies need to be at least 2 1/2 inches if smaller than that make 2 dozen per package. Bar cookies are now considered in this category.
Best Other This is anything other than the cookie. Cupcakes are not allowed. Otherwise this category is up to your discretion. This can be candies, liquors, confections jewelry, cocoa soap the list is fairly open. Yes you can even do store bought but keep in mind it has to be high quality. Minimums candy at least a pound,liquors 16 oz., Drink mixes powder form 2 cups,jellies and jams 2 jar minimum or 16 oz. No meringues.
Best Artisan This is a category that gives special attention that went out of their way to hand craft their own packaging. It is non-edible and needs to be created from hands.
