Below are answers to frequently asked questions of The Maiden, If you have any question that is not answered re please feel free to contact me and I can answer your questions.
What is a consultation and what are the charges for this?
I will come to your home and I will consult on any project you are thinking about. This is free. If you ask me for samples, drawings or color consultations then there are fees associated to that. For the most part I like to meet my clients, look at the area to be painted, look at the project, listen to you and your ideas and what you want to accomplish and then I will do a job bid. I need to charge a fee for sample boards as my product line is expensive and I need to cover my costs. Your are paying for my time and supplies all samples remain property of the Crafty Maiden and will need to be returned to me. Drawings for any projects will be looked at and assessed accordingly. Color Consultations are described below and it is thorough therefore there is $150.00 charge.
How much does a Color Consultation cost and what does it consist of?
A consultation costs $150.00, which is payable the day we set up the appointment or you can pay for it through my web site using pay-pal at the bottom of this page. It consists of us coming to your home a doing a color consult. Which is quite thorough. I will look at your home and meet with you, listen to your ideas and the direction you want to go. Then from there I will work at a plan of colors and suggestions that will work with your ultimate goal. I may suggest specialty finishes perhaps a mural which you can decide to use or not. If you decide to use The Maidens services then the $150.00 will be deducted from the painting contract.
This is for a consultation only. No painting involved.
Where do the designs come from?
The designs come from you and me. I listen to your ideas and what you want and from the imagination takes off. I have been doing this for a long time so I bring a lot of Experience, Education and Imagination to the job. I do have a degree in Interior Design which compliments the paint specialist that I do. I have had the opportunity to learn from many masters in their fields and I have traveled the world to learn the many different styles and techniques that I am able to apply to your project. It is a work in progress and as it develops it becomes your vision. As "The Maidens" motto is "Bringing Your Vision to Life".
How do you prepare for me to come to your project? It would fabulous to have the room completely empty but that doesn't happen to often, like hardly ever. I do ask that you move the furniture as far away from the painted surface as possible. Any valuables that you don't want to get broken or anything, please remove. If you can and want to cover your possessions if not I come prepared to cover your stuff. Please remove your window coverings. Try to give me as much space as possible and we will go over this before the painting job so you know and I know what to expect.
Is there any jobs too small or too large? I am open to any sort of project be it small or large. If it is doable I can do it if not then I will let you know. The painting industry has come a long ways and pretty much anything can be painted. It is just how one needs to go about it.
What is my favorite Job?
